thank you thyme dec 14-sm
For many years Chris worked at a therapeutic garden foundation, and saw first-hand how helpful gardening was for children and adults with special needs. The Horticultural Therapy Association has found that it helps improve memory, cognitive abilities, language, socialization, in addition to coordination, balance, and endurance.

When Chris moved to It's About Thyme, he brought with him this experience, and now every Tuesday and Thursday a yellow AISD school bus pulls into the parking lot, and children from Crockett High School pile out and enthusiastically get to work on a variety of horticultural projects.

The nursery also donates fresh vegetables from its garden to some of the Austin's/area food banks.
